Does anyone know of a site or quick descriptions of how to perform levitation or other advanced magic tricks. Everything i find is selling something and i want to learn for free. I am trying to become a bigger nerd than I already am and learn a couple magic tricks for fun.

Magic IS fun! I was a big card trick nerd before poker.. Thats actually what got me into poker!

One of the best sites out there is Ellusionist, and yeah its a pay to see page..

Its been 1 year since i practiced card magic and other easy illutions, but i still have ~30GB of educational videos.. (most for card magic) I got most mainstream videos, like Lennart Green, Daryl, Darwin Ortiz and so on.

I saw your request about levitation.. I know a couple of methods.. All but one of the methods i know is dependent on a setup/gimmic. This levitation is also very convincing, and if you have seen David Blains show he will do this to perfection. (Allthou its probably some "special effects" added in the televiced version)

That depends on preformance.. As nerdy as it may be, if you know good close up magic, the chicks loves it! A good ambitious card routine is more than enough
