2 River decisions against same loose opponent.
I cant seem to get the converter to work, so I am typing these 2 hands out.
They were both against the same opponent, who seemed to be a bit loose, but I had not been at the table very long, so did not have a good read. Anyway here are the 2 hands, Party Poker $.50/1.00 (both hands 8 handed). Hand 1: Hero in CO with As,Ah. 2 folds, MP1 raises, 1 fold, Hero 3-bets, 3 folds, MP1 calls. Flop: Jd,9h,4h (7.5 sb, 2 players) MP1 checks, Hero bets, MP1 calls. Turn: 6d (4.75 bb, 2 players) MP1 checks, Hero bets, MP1 calls. River: Th (6.75 bb, 2 players) MP1 BETS !, Hero ....? Hand 2: Hero in SB with Ad,6d. UTG+2 calls, 2 folds, MP3 calls, 1 fold, Button raises, Hero calls, BB folds, UTG+2 calls, MP3 calls. Flop: 8h,Qd,Td (9 sb, 4 players) Hero bets, UTG+2 calls, MP3 folds, Button raises, Hero calls, UTG+2 calls. Turn: 8s (7.5 bb, 3 players) Hero checks, UTG+2 checks, Button bets, Hero calls, UTG+2 folds. River: 9d (9.5 bb, 2 players) Hero...? What do you think the best river play for both hands would have been ? Was it worth raising the river in Hand 1 for value ? Bet or check/raise the river in Hand 2 ? Comments on all streets welcome. |

Re: 2 River decisions against same loose opponent.
h1: call (i'd fold before raising)
h2: check, villian doesn't seem gunshy so you should be able to pull it off |

Re: 2 River decisions against same loose opponent.
Hand 1 I'd just call, but I'd expect to see KJ or AJ a good amount of the time. He took a WA/WB line.
Hand 2 I'd c/r, if you bet he might be afraid since so many draws hit and fold. |
