Default thailand/poker

I've been traveling around thailand for the last month or so and hope to play some poker over the next six weeks. Having read a few posts in OOT i'm of the understanding that playing over here is not completely legit. As the internet cafes over here are really slow, making using the search function a pain, i'd like to ask if anyone has any advice on the matter. I'd be esp interested in hearing from people who have done this before(say within the last six months).

"KaneKungFu123" and "Degen" i believe are both playing from thailand right now or have been in the past 6 months. might be worth looking them up.

when i was in bangkok and chaing mai last summer, everytime i went to an internet cafe many of the computers had party and stars software on them, so i know people are playing from i-cafes there.

dean,

if you could, that would be great. If you know of anywhere on a few of the islands that would be great as well.

I arrived in Bangkok about 3 weeks ago to play from here. I played for about 6 months here last year.

I've never tried to play from internet cafes - I rent an apartment and play from there.

All gambling is illegal in Thailand so you would need to have your explanations and exit routine well sorted.

Also remember that it is not possible to deposit or cash out on Party with a Thai IP Address.

Always be folding

I find this surprising as it seems so many people are doing the online poker thing in thailand right now. I mean are u risking going to jail or like a 5$ fine?
