Default Party $33, lvl1 AKo in the BB

Hello,

I would like to know how you guys play this hand.

Is the raise pre flop correct, or do you like a check?

On the flop: Do you c-bet here? How much?

Would you c-bet if the flop was something like:

2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

All advice is appreciated.

early levels I'll check my option w/ AK. I wouldn't cbet the 2tq flop and would also likely check the 995 flop. I guess since you raised out of the bb you might get respect for a high pair, which increases the likelihood of a cbet working. I still like checking tho.

I'm also checking in BB. The problem with raising so many limpers is that a couple of them usually won't muck PF and you will be forced to play a big pot OOP while missing a flop 2/3 of the time. If you just check PF, you can easily check/fold if not connected hard with a flop.

As played, meh, it's a perfect example of why you shouldn't raise PF in these situations. I guess I'm cbeting like t400 cause the board is so dry here, but I don't hate a check/fold.

As played I pot flop and am riding this all the way.
More and more I am checking this and trying to hit a big flop early, no reason to risk this many chips this early with anna kournikova.

I'm raising this PF the majority of the time. 4 opponents is just too many. I think you're giving up too much value by checking, although checking isn't horrible. You'll probably get called in 1 or 2 spots by weaker hands and have to play some poker. 1/3 of the time you'll hit TPTK against a couple of idiots with hands like AT or KJ.

As played, I c-bet the 995 rainbow flop about 75% of the time, and check-fold the other 25%.

I would check-fold the 2TQ flop most of the time against 2 opponents, but c-bet HU.
