Re: SNG Book Announcement:
OK, I'm now certain that CM is not an AMAZING SnG player. He refuses to give out his SS-stats, only because it will hurt his "edge." He will certainly be getting a decent amount of money, considering he gives out a successful SS, and writes a valuable book. Colin, your stats are more vital to your book, then to your edge. The profit you would be making, if you were crushing the SnGs isn't going to be threatened, due to the compensation and revenue you recieve from the book.

[/ QUOTE ] If you can really say this with such certainty then you must be privy to both his book contract (including a reasonable sales estimate) as well as already knowing his shark scope stats. Why don't you just tell everyone the SS numbers and this "issue" will go away. |

[/ QUOTE ] Even I don't care about his sharkscope stats. As far as experience and credibility, what he played and how many is way more important than how he did. There's almost no way he's a losing a player excepting the toughest of games. |

Re: SNG Book Announcement:
Did Stox give his own stats?
Did Ed Miller? Did Mason and Sklansky? I don't believe any of these 2+2 authors went into great details about their win-rates either when their books were in the works or were coming out although I'm not positive about that. |

Re: SNG Book Announcement:
gelford - regardless of how you feel about the NL book they did, they also have written books about limit poker without giving out details about their win-rates either I believe.
sklansky has also written about several other forms of poker. |

Re: SNG Book Announcement:
I have no way of judging David as a limit player, tho I'm confident he is quite good. ... This is not an argument I wish to pursue far, as my comment was meant mostly like a joke.
The NL book might be the best on the market, but that is simply due to the competition being at it is. (Reading on NPA.com how Ed estaticaly tells all how he is learning so much about NL working with Flynn and Metha speaks volumes) |
