Just wow....almost $900k for the day+300k of offline donations means $4 million for the quarter has been reached and it's only 9:10 AM ET! Hopefully we can get over $5.2 million overall before the day is out as that's we raised all of last quarter and we'd hit it in less than 6 weeks! Whoever came up with this money bomb idea is a genius!

[/ QUOTE ]

Wait, when did this quarter start?

The quarter started October 1 and goes to December 31. Which means that only 5 weeks into the quarter, Ron Paul might have surpassed his entire total from last quarter! The media was shocked when he got $5.2 million for the quarter. Hopefully they'll report it if he gets $2 million in one day and $5.2 million in 5 weeks!

Someone somewhere set up a website measuring something and had some sort of a desired goal to reach in some period but did not reach that something and then they changed the layout so that something is now measured in some other other way so that something can still reach the other goal.

Something is definalty happening somewhere, and I wouldnt be surprised to see more of something happening soon.

I really don't care what this "something" is, so I'm probably going to skip this thread until it rolls over until the next page. However, Taso seems frustrated, so can someone help him out?

No, used to display the monthly goal of 4 million. They did not reach that in October, so now they changed it to the December 31st goal.

The goal I see at the website says "12 million to win....by december 31st" Seems like they did increase it to Dec. 31st, but also multiplied it by 3.

Yeah,it was always stated on the page that they wanted to reach 12 million in 3 months. But they had divided it up to make a 4 million goal each month, and they used to display the monthly donations, not the quarterly. They changed it sometime today, so now they dont look stupid for not making the first goal. Of course they still have time to reach the main goal of 12 million before December 31st, I just pointed out that their apporach changed from focusing on the monthly donations to focus on the quarterly donations a few days after it was clear that they did not reach their first part-goal.

The goal for the quarter was always $12 million so you're wrong about that. They did miss the October goal, but if everyone hadn't been saving up for today and if they had pumped in the offline donations from that last week of October, they would have been close. I think they overshot on the $4 million for October and it should have been 3-4-5, but what are you gonna do? In the grand scheme of things it really means nothing when you raise over $5 million in 5 weeks!!!!!
