Default Has there ever been a good remix?

So my favorite Station thinks its really cool to play remixes all night on fridays, which I think sucks big time. Im yet to hear a remix that is an improvement. Some people must like them cuz otherwise they wouldnt be played, but I havent met somebody who likes them.

Like most genres, if you can't find anything valuable you're not looking hard enough.

Well he's talking about remixes specifically on the radio...I don't think what you said (If you can't find something good you aren't looking hard enough) really pertains to radio remixes. Mostly because the radio sucks. Now if he said he doesn't like any remixes at all, then I would agree with you.

A distinction has to be made between whether a remix is an improvement, and whether you LIKE it. Many times, a remix is not better than the original, but you STILL like to listen to it over the original because you've heard the original version a million times and you want to hear a new take on a decent song.

FatBoy Slim's remix of Cornershop's Brimful of Asha.
The song became a massive hit when it was re-released as a remix, when it had bombed in its original form. And for good reason - the original blows, the remix kicks ass!

This is the song I guess? Not really a fan, but I could believe it's way better than the original.

Can anyone suggest a single remix that's actually a great result?
