Re: Can someone explain this to me?
Probably a trick, the violent shaking uncovers the knot or something.

*WARNING MAGIC SPOILER*
This one is easy!
He has long shoelaces that go thru the underlining of his pantleg (which is conveniently loose and long). As he shakes his leg, there are many ways he could pull the laces out, and simultaneously uncover the real knot which is hidden under the pant leg end. Misdirection and set-up makes it believable. -ZEN |

Misdirection and set-up makes it believable. [/ QUOTE ] i actually didn't find it very believable at all, and im fairly easily impressed when it comes to magic tricks. |

Meh, he's only a young kid
Kind of like all the YouTube "levitations" that basically ruin the trick for the entire world due to being performed poorly! -ZEN |

Re: Can someone explain this to me?
Yeah that's pretty simple. Look at the cuffs of his pant legs when the trick starts. They're concealing the top of his shoe, and the shoelaces appear to dangle out from under them. You can't see the connection between his shoelaces and shoe.
His real shoelaces are already tied and concealed beneath the pant leg. The untied shoelaces that you see are not connected to his shoes, but run up the pantleg where they can be retracted. When he shakes all he has to do is lift the pant leg and withdraw the fake shoelaces as the same time. |
