Happy: As long as I am studying or playing poker, I am happy. Otherwise my divorce has made me extremely anti-social, so I never go out and have fun.

Seperated for over 1 year, divorce should be final this month.

I believe I'm happy, doesn't take much to please me or make me happy, but find that I carry a lot of stress with me which causes a lot of insomnia. My mind races so much at night that I can't sleep easily. Mostly due to work stresses and financial obligations, but I also know that I'm on the upswing, not the downswing. Ask me this question 6 months ago and I probably would have started crying. LOL, so I'm good.

Would you say you're happy with where you are: I would say for the most part, I haven't done the best job of balancing life and poker and my GF pretty much hates poker for that fact. I try my best now but, life could be better but it could also be worse.

I love my wife, and we get along very well. I am very negative about school and my general life direction. Since graduating undergrad (over 3 years now) I have been unable to find anything resembling passion for what I do on a daily basis.

Would you say you're happy with where you are: I am the happiest I've ever been right now, just got back from a honeymoon in Maui, buying a house and have a wife. I'm making a lot of new friends at grad school and doing what I love, just hoping it all keeps up.

Dude, get out of law school *now* unless you are on a full ride. I have never known anyone who was miserable in law school that liked being a lawyer.

-I play poker for my living, but in the last year or so, I didn't have much pressure to make money, so I lived it up for a while and traveled a lot. Two months ago I decided to settle down for a bit and grind up a bankroll back. I still don't play a lot-- I'm kind of living my life first and playing poker second-- but I still want to keep moving up so I'm actually trying to get better again.
-I am single, not looking for anything serious, but I am trying to meet women, and having more success with that here than I have anywhere.
-I'm happy here, happier than I've been anywhere in a while. I still have my dark side, but overall I'm happy with the decisions I've made in the last couple months, both to move here and everything that's followed.

Not necessarily. In absolute number of years, yes. Not necessarily in other facets of life.
