Default 2/4 :: Do you value bet the river?

Hi all,

First post. Long time lurker of 2+2, greetings.

I sat down about 2 rounds ago. Villain has played about 60% of the pots so far, and this is the first pot he's opened, only limping into others.

On the turn, he quickly called.

Do you value bet that river considering a draw got there and it filled him up if he was slow playing 44/55/JJ ? If yes, what is your plan if raised?

Thanks,

Mizz

I am not worried at all about a set/2pair since he didn't put much money in on previous streets. And with his previous betting in the hand he seems dumb so he'll probably look you up with dumb hands too. Bet 130/fold seems good here.

I figured as much, but for some reason his instacall on the turn kind of slowed me down. I checked and he mucked AK. I doubt he's calling, but in general I think I miss a lot of value by not betting there. Doh..

Just a note, you shouldn't be afraid of betting here because you might get raised. Dumb passive villains like this dont bluffraise the river.

Bet/fold.
