Final Pot: t780

No read on Cutoff...

Villian is a regular who play TAG-Style but has waknesses in the late game, where he is not pushing enough.

Is folding okay PF? I just don't like commiting a lot of chips early against a Tight player.

Thanks! Just taking a DownSwing and questioning myself. Gives me confidence to hear that I still play correctly.

Squeeze play. I would never fold. Shove it it - only afraid of KK and AA.

But his range will be tigh after a raise and a call. I put him on JJ+, AK. The only hands you are happy to see are Jacks, Queens for a coinflip and maybe AK for a split.

The absence of Fold Equity is important here too. He might fold Tens and Nines or AQ, when he raised, but usually his hand will be strong so he will call your AI most of the time.

I don't see the reason, why we should take a most likely gamble this early. We haven't put that much into the pot yet so I think we can get away from it this early.

Actually its 120*3 + 20 + 40 = 420 of dead money in there. Even if it is a coinflip its a good move to take the coinflip.

The chance of the opponent folding even as low as 10% of the times makes it an even better play to go all-in.

Vet
Equity needed here is ~50% with no FE. With 10% Fold equity u need ~48%.

You need villian to be calling you with 88+,AQo+ to breakeven against those figures. Taking a 45/55 flip is bad here even with a small degree of FE. If villian showed JJ its still a fold.

OP
The only way this is good (0.5%EV) is that villian has repoped 99+,AQo and is only calling with JJ+,AKo. Giving you 40% fold equity.

Given your read I do not see him re-raising a raise/limp with anything worse the JJ+,AK+ from the button. And i doubt he will fold to a push but one can be surprised.

Good fold.
