Raise more preflop, he is getting the excellent odds (over 1:10) to chase you with a pocketpair (these odds are excellent because you are potcommitted like always so 1:10 is enough for im). Make it 1,50 and he is making a mistake on the long term by calling you. If MP1 had a full stack there is nothing wrong with your raise, because you are not potcommitted if you meet resistance on the flop.

Raise to $1.25 preflop, and push the flop as played.

$1.50 preflop, and raise the flop more. Turn is actually questionable. Q9s/JT/sets make up a decent portion of his range here. You beat nothing except QJ, and hands like 9d8d are entirely conceivable.
