Sleeping after drinking
I've never had too much problem going to sleep and staying asleep for a full night. Lately (last 3-4 months) if I drink moderately to heavily the night before, I wake up in 3-5 hours completely wide awake and hyper as [censored]. Obviously after being up for a bit I crash. Its just seems weird and counter intutive as to what should happen, anybody else experience this?

Re: Sleeping after drinking
I always wake up earlier than normal and can't get back to sleep after a night of heavy drinking. I have always thought it's because being hungover/feeling sick makes you unable to fall back asleep like you normally would after a little noise or something wakes you up.

[/ QUOTE ] It's definitely not a sick feeling, it's more of a hyper type feeling then 3-4 hours later I'm completely tired as [censored]. |

yeah i usually sleep like 5 hours after drinking [/ QUOTE ] Alcohol disrupts sleep. It helps some people fall asleep because it's relaxing to be drunk, but you tend to wake up a few hours later. I thought this was common knowledge. |

Re: Sleeping after drinking
Lately I've had a lot of trouble after drinking as well. If I get in bed at 230 or 3 moderately drunk, I've been waking up at 530 or so and not being able to get back to sleep. I think the problem may be dehydration.

It never used to happen to me, but now when I go to sleep pissed, i normally wake up at about 4 or 5am. I can only guess that it is an age thing. I am 27 now. Never happened when i was younger. |
