that's basically how you beat limit at every stakes up until you start running into people who don't suck, which doesn't happen until...like...I don't know, I haven't really played limit past a couple of really juicy 50/100 games

isnt there some rule about not jamming when you have to lose lose half the pot?

If your edge is small, sure. You might be in a three-way pot and be a favorite in your direction, but not a 2:1 favorite, so you only call. In this case, it's a four-way pot. You're laying 1:1. You're much better than even money to have the best hand, so you get your money in there.
