Hmm, enjoyed reading the story, have a little bit of a similar situation for myself. My mom is easy and doesn't give a [censored] mostly but my dad is also very strict and also stands on doing my finances and [censored] but at least when he told me not to go and play poker online because it's rigged and everybody loses their money there I told him to shut it so not as bad your parents but still...

There is a huge difference between parents being irrational and parents not allowing you to do stuff. My parents say stupid [censored] like that all the time, but it doesn't prevent me from going.
