Default quick check cashing question

i have a few poker accounts in my moms name, and with the neteller thing etc cashing out via check is the most viable method at this time (for me anyways). can i have the check sent to her, have her sign it, then send to me and i can deposit? i have heard of 'signing a check over' before but wasnt sure of the exacts. the check(s) will be on large side i imagine (4-5k)ish fwiw.

Yes, you can do this. Just have her sign the back of the check and under that have her write "Pay to the order of [Your Name]"

It was a lot easier to cash 3rd party checks 10-15 years ago. I think there's a recent ZOO post about people having difficulties cashing 3rd party checks.

Are there any easy ways around this that won't trigger IRS issues with the person whose name is on the checks?
