Default Bus from DC to AC

Does anyone know a good way to go from DC to Atlantic City by bus or train? I want to put in a long poker session but don't trust myself to drive home.

Thanks.

My friend told me about some Chinatown bus that costs like $30 and you get like $25 in chips when you get to the casino. Not sure of the exact info unfortunately.

on a budget: greyhound. Cheap. But it takes forever to get there. 2.5-3.5 hours.

don't care about money: train. Amtrak to philly, transfer to NJT train to Atlantic city, hop on jitney to your casino of choice. A lot faster, but amtrak ticket is expensive.

You can't get from DC to AC in 2.5 hours. The bus takes about four hours. For some reason, it stops twice in Baltimore and waits at the station forever.

But it is still not any slower than the train, because you have to switch trains in Philly, which can be an hour wait, and then catch the shuttle to your casino once you get to AC. Although the train is a much nicer experience.

The Greyhoung bus is really cheap. It's like $30-35 roundtrip, and they give you $20 when you get the casino. Just make sure you specify a round-trip casino ticket, even if you are only going one-way.

I might hit you up sometime as well if that's ok. I just started making trips to AC and would like to go a few times a month from DC/College Park area. Would be nice to have someone to talk poker over with and split a room with.

TAKE THE TRAIN, IT IS A NICE 3.5 HOUR TRIP MOST OF THE TIME COUNTING THE CONNNECTION IN PHILLY. I USED TO GET OFF OF WORK AT 1 A.M. CAT-NAP ON THE WAY UP TO A.C. AND BE AT THE TABLES BY 5 A.M.

The train can't be a worse option than the bus. I just moved to DC about 16 months ago and wanted to do the "sleep on the way home" thing also. Seriously, you will hate it by the end of the first trip. I did the bus trip 5 or 6 times and it was horrible. I now just leave early Saturday morning (about 7-8 am) and leave AC about 8-8:30 pm so I'm back by midnight. It's about a 3-3.5 hour drive for me from near Dulles airport to the Trop. If you want more than a 7 or 8 hour session, consider getting a hotel on Black Horse pike a few miles away. Much cheaper rates.
