Re: WinStar\'s new room opened?
Rumors of the new room have been circulating for months. I saw the architectural drawings back in November, so I know it's a done deal... and I was told the contractors are holding things up...probably another rumor. It's going to be nice once it opens. I drove by there earlier this week and saw some workmen coming in and out of the door...so something is going on.
"Trucker Hats": very funny. |

Re: WinStar\'s new room opened?
TRIP REPORT!!!
I went this afternoon and checked out the new room. It is now located on the right side of the casino (as your walking in from the parking lot). I counted 44 tables but I wasnt trying that hard to count. There were four 1-2 nl and two 2-5nl games running. The brush had walkie talkies to help coordinate seating and lists. They still were using the old fashioned projector screen to show all the lists. Games were good as always. This post was a joke, i dont even live in the south but I wanted to give you guys some hope. |

Re: WinStar\'s new room opened?
Just got back from playing their monday tournament which was the offical opening of the new room. IT IS SWEEEEET.
LOTS AND LOTS OF ROOM. They were still moving the cash game tables into the room at the time of opening. They have a complete set of tournament tables only in the room as well. (They don't have automatic card shufflers.) There is a seperate area for the high limit games. The poker room has its very own grill which is waaaay better than Zars [censored], though its probably the same food, haahaha. The PA system is 24340280958309 times better. When you walk into the poker room you are confronted by monitors that let you know which games are being spread and the current wait list. Everyone was upbeat and the opening went smoothly. The fact that there is no smoking anywhere within the vicinity of the room is a huuuuuuuge plus. |
