Car Shopping In LV
I went to the BMW dealership today in Vegas and told them to ship a new decked out M3. The sticker price on this was 63k and I told them I'd pay 55k, they told me that they never take anything off sticker and couldn't do this for me, because i was a "bmw dealership in vegas". I thought they were [censored] with me because Im a 19 year old and the other salesperson told me the same thing.
Standrand or were they [censored] with me? |

Re: Car Shopping In LV
they're [censored] with you. But in fairness they're probably going to do that to anyone 19 who walks in like that.
shop via the internet - call or fax dealers around the country offers. You're best trying to find a dealer with one in stock. a $200 one-way plane ticket and drive the car back. I'd also say don't buy new - look for a 1-2 year old car and save a good bundle of cash. Plenty out there via cars.com or ebay. |

Re: Car Shopping In LV
The dealer is probably not gonna be inclined to budge on price; M3 demand is up because production is over for the e46 M3 and there are few brand new ones to be had. OTOH if you brought a cashiers check made out for something that would be reasonable for the one your looking at (include sales tax and gas guzzler tax), you may be able to knock around 3k or so off the price.

Show up with a briefcase full of cash (55k) and they won't let you leave without the car.

They might knock something off the price, but I doubt it will be 8k.
