Re: Fight for Online Gaming!!
Casino Gambling Web is sending representatives to Washington this month. They'll be taking, among other things, online signatures to repeal UIGEA. Please take a moment RIGHT NOW to fill it out, at www.thepetitionsite.com/petition/306149419 , and don't forget to have your spouse sign it as well (once you sign, you'll have to wait ten minutes or so before you can log back on for others in your household to sign).
Info is at http://www.prnewsnow.com/P.......20D.C.. Focus on the Family is very worried about this, so you know it's good for us. Their statement is at www.citizenlink.org/FOSI/gambling/cog/A000004244.cfm . This is a x-post from Legislation. The parent thread is at Casino Gambling Web Representatives Headed to Washington! . Please keep all discussion there. However, I would appreciate a bump or a sticky for this important effort. Thanks. |

I'm signatory #5,219, and damn it felt good to get that [censored] off my chest. Hopefully, someone reads it. |

Re: Fight for Online Gaming!!
Yep, I did it. I've also written my senators, but unfortunately those twits aren't listening.
I got a letter back from Richard Burr about how we need to ban online gambling because it can be a front for money laundering. Uh....pretty much any business can be a front for money laundering. By that logic, all check cashing stores should be closed down immediately. Not to mention, how did the Mafia used to launder their money? Through bars and restaurants among other things. Since bars and restaurants can be used for money laundering, should we shut those down as well? We can all go live in a cave and it will be lots of fun! |
