Default Is there a good chess forum?

I used to play a little, and i kinda had the urge to get back in it. Is there a "two plus two of chess"?

I've found a few forums, but they didn't seem very active and didn't have good software to show histories/positions.

Unfortunately, no. rec.games.chess has some great discussions in the archives but like most of Usenet has become Useless.

That kind of sucks, I was sure there was active forum with good software and i just wasn't finding it.

I wonder why not, Is the chess community not as willing to discuss or have they just not had a site to bring them together?

I'll suggest this idea to the 2+2 people. I'd certainly post in it. I doubt it'll happen.

No, but the blogs of Mig Greengard and Susan Polgar are good places to start for discussion. Neither are as good as here, but there's some discussion going on.

The 2+2 people said we could possibly get a chess forum going if enough interest is showed in POG. Zomg, I'm starting that interest, follow in my footsteps......

Look, it's A-Rod's fault the Villager Tell failed. I'm not quite sure how, but everything is his fault.

Gameknot's forums used to be pretty good. I used to post on there back when I was playing, as did a lot of other great players. You might want to look at those archives.

Certainly not the 2+2 of chess, though.
