Default 5/10 PLO8 Hand @ FT

Just looking for comments on the turn pot bet as I have heard a couple different views

Villan is MP1 who is 39.04 VPIP / 13.67 PFR. Despite being fairly agressive preflop he gets very passive post flop. I felt that he would lead the flop with any A3xx hand so that is why I potted it when he checked.

Normally here on the turn I would check behind if it wasnt a Q or a T as its possible he is passively playing some A3xx and probably has my 2nd nut no pair beat for high.

I pick up the diamond draw here and I think a Q or T is probably also good, along with my position, I pot it again so that if the river is a diamond, Q or T, I can get my whole stack in there and lay him 2-1 to call. I believe he will check the river on the river most of the time (>75%).

I am not too worried about a CR all in on the turn here. If he was a tighter 20 VPIP / 4 PFR and more agressive (as those types of players are typically) I think I would check the turn here as those types typically with CR all in on the turn when qtring you off and I would be concerned after the preflop raise that he had A3xx with a pair or AKxx

So anyway, what do you think of a pot bet here with the added flush draw? What would you do vs. this opponent or a tighter opponent?

Given your read on villain, a pot bet has to be right here. There are some hands he could be on that you definitely dont want to give a free card too, and as you said it will probably get you a free showdown, and let you get it all in on a good river.

Pot is the correct play. I'd take the $255 and run instead of splitting if your D Q or T doesn't hit. If he happens to call, you need to check a miss on the river and assume you may get quartered with any A3 that he has.
