[ QUOTE ]
First post said $4 per hand of which $1 goes to BBJ... that means $200 in rake.

[/ QUOTE ]
Please explain THAT...

[ QUOTE ]
If in fact it's $1 per hundred, then that means $7100 total action for the night, not 7100 taken in rake.

[/ QUOTE ]
Its clear from the original post...
[ QUOTE ]
...they took 4 out of any pot over 30 i believe, but most the pots were so big you didnt notice, and $1 of that went to the Bad beat jackpot.

[/ QUOTE ]

In another post, the OP explains...
[ QUOTE ]

As for the BBJ they take $1 out of the raked money every $100, last night they added $71 to the BBJ meaning there was about $7100 raked the night before, not a bad business...

[/ QUOTE ]

Since the OP states that the amount contributed to the BBJ is based on the amount RAKED why would you think otherwise? He was there...
Man of these guys are pulling 7100 a night from two tables..
A. they are going to bust these guys out quickly, or
B. The Bankroll is inexhaustable( rich kids?) and they are sitting on a GOLDMINE.

Rake wasn't too bad, they took 4 out of any pot over 30 i believe, but most the pots were so big you didnt notice, and $1 of that went to the Bad beat jackpot. As far as different from a normal casino, well here is another story from early in the night that i thought was funny.

Guy sitting in seat 2 at the waiting table is pretty good and an obvious regular. He is a young black guy wearing gucci sunglasses and has a big diamond ear ring. Partway thru the game he gets a phone call and i hear him saying the following "well check the weapons locker, I know my M16 is there and there should be yours and 2 female M16s..." I'm going oh [censored] this is some gang leader and if i put a bad beat on him he's going to shoot me.

Well after the conversation he pulls out some printed sheets of paper and im in seat 4 so i lean in close to see what is on them, "Drill Sargent Training Test 2". The guy was in the army. Semi-racist profile by me i guess, but it was what i expected in an underground cardroom.

a few of my local games, this would be spoken by one of the drug dealers- but you'd come to find out they're some of the nicest guys around (but i wouldn't cross them....ever)

[/ QUOTE ]

i would probably trust the 2 drug dealers in my game over anyone else. They are generally nice and don't react bad to bad beats or losing lots of money b/c they can afford it.

What a great read. Reminds me of a night I was in Alberta at the Calgary Casino. The 3 guys immediately to my left (seat 3-5) where extremely nice and talkative....as the night ticketed on (and the drinks mounted up) These guys started to reveal more and more about themselves. Towards the end of the session one of the guys (the leader) gets a phone call and one of their "members" had been arrested and was in jail. They were trying not to make it obvious but they were all drunk and they kept going on about how this guy was the only one in their crew that didn't have a record. From that point on they kept saying okay one more hand and we got to go get "Johnny". It seems like that went on for an hour or so. Then all at once after pissing off about $3K between them. The leader got on a tilt streak and went all-in for 3 re-buys in a row and they left. It is amazing what you can learn at the poker table.

A bit about the BBJ that i didnt understand the 1st time. It's for every pot over $100 that they take $1 for every 100 in the pot. So $300 pots result in $3 ontop of the rake for the BBJ. Also i love calling stations and pocket pairs that flop sets, i walked out with about $700 the other night (400 profit). Looks like rent is paid for next month too now...

awesome thread.

i agree that drug dealers/gangsters are usually on the up and up, at least when gambling...i've known/been around quite a few, and have come to realize that when it comes to paying bets (and keeping reputations intact), drug dealers are usually pretty good...
