So I go to buy an NES...
I went to a used gaming store to buy an NES and a bunch of the games. My mom sold mine like 12 years ago and I still have not forgiven her. One of my friends did this about 4 years ago and got like 40 games and the system for about $75 (Mario Bros was 5 cents).
I brought my old school gameboy and some of the games I had to sell as I have not used it in a really long time. I was SHOCKED at some of the prices this guy was offering me for some of the games. For the system itself, he was like "$3". Then when I showed him some of the games, his jaw dropped and he started acting like a little school girl. I am getting offered $10-30 for a few of the games each and he says they are rare. Then I pop out centipede and he is like ZOMG. He offers me $50, but I am starting to get curious as to why these are so rare and like 5x what I paid for them. I actually am not sure what they cost becuase my parents bought them for me when I was a youngin'. I tell him I would like to go home and do some research before I sell him these games. He immediately bumps his offer to $70 and it as if he is going to pay me out of his own pocket. I tried looking for info on this stuff, but couldn't come up with much. Anyone know anything about these type of things? P.S. Bubble Bobble RULES! P.P.S. I have had the wrong code in my head for probably 10 years now for Contra. I memorized UP DOWN UP DOWN LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT B A B A SELECT START. I know there is a minor adjustment in one of those. I feel like it is UP UP DOWN DOWN or maybe A B A B? |
