Standard Situation 2/4 NL 6 Max FT
I don't have the hand history, but this is easy to remember.
I am brand new to the table as well as to FT and do not know any of my opponents. This is my 3rd hand. Hero ($400) has AKs on the button 2 limpers Hero raises to $22 SB (~$300) and both limpers call Flop ($92) K84 rainbow SB takes the lead which always confuses me. SB (~$280) bets $85 2 folds Hero? And how do I play future streets based on certain actions? |

Re: Standard Situation 2/4 NL 6 Max FT
I'd just put him all in, more likely he has something like KQ, KJ and is trying to win the pot than a set or two pair.

I just want to make sure my thought process isn't messed up. I figure he has AK, KQ, or KJ here most of the time which would mean shove?

Re: Standard Situation 2/4 NL 6 Max FT
With no reads, and SB being short, I'm felting this hand.
I would call flop, and get it in on the turn. This gives villan a chance to put more money in the pot if he's behind. |

call the flop and push over his bet on the turn. if he checks, obv bet.
pushing might allow him to get away from Kx, but if he bets the turn he's stuck. |

I call here and push turn if he bets. There's not many hands that you need to protect against and a raise/push now may let him off easily.

Dumle [/ QUOTE ] If you push now, he plays perfect -- folding when behind, calling when ahead. There are no real draws out, so if your willing to get it in now, I don't see what could come on the turn which would really change your mind. |

Re: Standard Situation 2/4 NL 6 Max FT
Easy call.
KQ/KJ will often interpret this as a stubborn big pair and stack off. He might continue a bluff. And you're not worried about any specific free cards/scare cards. Raising here sucks without a bit of a read/history that says he'll actually call you with crap, here. His stack is still plenty big for him to run a bluff. I might even give a free river card, sometimes, on this board, hoping to induce, one more time. |
