bottomline: the military is the last place anyone with a medical condition should step foot in. the military is not equipped to deal with abnormal behaviors and psychotic conditions in people.

we have like, y'know, doctors and hospitals for that--establishments that are experienced and trained to deal with such conditions.

What's with all the anti-military hate here? Psych is packed to the gills with depressed degenerates who don't see any way out. Obviously the best course of action is to cut off all ability to gamble and pursue whatever else in life. Unfortunately, most of the degens won't do that, and I think it's great govman is pointing out other possible alternatives to suicide. Why would you attack him for that?
