Agree with 1. This has always bugged me.
Brag about the 'free' money they are giving away. But it's not really 'free'.

A freeroll is what they do in those 'hubble' things.
A 100 FPP tournament is a 100 FPP tournament.

Notice that under the tourney if you are on the 'freeroll' tab there are no FPP tournaments listed.
So they do know the difference. FPP tourneys are under their own seperate tab.

So stop calling them freerolls.

2 - I'm not as upset by this and I'm not sure I agree with CC. But I do think they need to make the language a little bit clearer.
They throw it in at the fine-print a little later that you need to play 10k VPP's or whatever to clear the reward.
You aren't buying 'money for points'.
I think you are actually 'purchasing a bonus'.

It shouldn't say '$1500 for 100k points' as the item because that's not really what it is.
It should say '$1500 for 100k points with 10k VPP play-through requirement' or something like that.

3 - We've been around the block a zillion times about the VIP-freerolls.
I'm not thrilled with them either but this is how they do them.
I'm missing some value if I don't show up for them. But I feel like I'm getting way more value now out of the milestone stuff. So I'm not too horribly concerned about it.
And to get full value for the freerolls I don't have to sit there for several hours to cash for $11 in the gold and $3 in the silver or whatever.

Not sure what CC is talking about regarding playing through 10k players two times though. Those aren't the VIP tourneys.

Whole poker/casino business uses terms in very original ways. Deposit bonus is not really bonus. It is x dollar reward paid for making x times something dollars profit for poker site. Of course it is even worse on casinos. There bonus can be agreement to never get any cash out until you have bet 100 times your deposit and even after that to not get the bonus amount.

If poker/casino sites were ran in some country with strong customer protection all present bonus systems would be illegal as confusing and false advertisement.

I agree that the VIP NLHE tournaments are pretty much useless. It's just not worth it to me to play in them. (The other two complaints are valid but it doesn't matter as much to me.) But it irks me a bit that my limit HORSE and TD rake is going to fund a giveaway for players who play primarily NLHE.

I'm also a bit peeved that it is nearly impossible to win the tournament leader board without playing NLHE. Winning the 10 biggest limit events in a week would produce less than 3000 TLB points, and the weekly winner often has more than that. It's not rewarding "excellent performance and frequent play" in anything but NLHE. But at least that's just a function of what the players decide to play, rather than a specific decision Stars made.

Maybe that's what we should ask for--- the game which produces the most VIP rake is what gets played for the freerolls. That way it still ends up being NLHE but it's not Stars' decision.

To reward me, Pokerstars offers me NL donkaments. I think this is similar to someone who spends a huge amount of time playing tennis at the local tennis club. As a reward, the tennis club gives me "free" passes to play golf.

This is EXACTLY what I would do if I owned a club that offered both tennis and golf.

YEAH! And for all the golf addicts, you give them free passes to play tennis!!! And for the tennis guys that don't even own golf clubs, or the golf guys who have never even been on a tennis court, you could just shrug your shoulders.

But all this aside, where is our reload bonus?

some of us lost our money playing O/8 and we need a reload bonus to justify the rebuy.
