Sorry, I misread the pre-flop action. The flop is an easy raise because the CO is clueless and Oink's hand is face up. Also, the button cold called which makes it standard.

[/ QUOTE ]
Why does buttons cold call make it standard? And could you put Oink on a range?

I'm not asking these questions to be a dick, I'm genuinely interested.

[/ QUOTE ]

The button is adding money to the pot for us. He puts more in when we raise so we don't have to worry as much about being behind here or waiting for the turn.

Oink just called on that flop with 2 people left to act behind him. What do you put him on?

Oink has two overs and if you raise here he should understand that you have a high PP and fold. The chance of getting it 3-ways instead of 4-ways on the turn is worth the extra investment on the flop. If you call flop and Oink tags along there are few good turncards that you can raise so you end up calling down with in a multiway pot with little chance of improving. Raising flop increases you chance to win the pot, and makes the pot you win bigger.

Our eq. has skyrocketed on this flop??? I haven't done any stoving but I think this is dead wrong given the ranges I put UTG plus the cold callers on.

[/ QUOTE ]

It has not skyrocketed compared to preflop. But it is much higher than on most other flops you will get (and the flop is inevitable isnīt it.)
Your equity has gone from 32-34% preflop to 36-38%.
Compare that to the drop to 23.5% you get with a Jxx rainbow flop and the 15% with an Axx rainbow flop. Two flush board flops are even worse. Two ovgercard flops also.
Basically your preflop equity just goes up in smoke on 8 out of 10 boards. Then you still have your position problem left.

A8s. It's either that or he's not paying attention and just calling with his whiffed overcards. He doesn't have a pair.

I can, my numbers are pretty far away from yours so I'd like to see your ranges.

Oink: 55+,A8s+,K9s+,QTs+,JTs,A9o+,KJo+
Button:88-22,ATs-A4s,KJs-K8s,Q9s+,J9s+,T9s,KJo+,QJo,JTo
Lag:Could be anything basically. I took about 30% of his hands.I took away the 10% of his best hands and 10% of his worse hands from his 50% VP$IP. But I donīt think that we can say that a player like him are following any kind of formula.

I donīt think any difference between us about their ranges would make any big impact on how our hand value changes on different kind of flops.

Edit: OINK:s premium hands are in his range because I calculated the ranges as you see them at your decision point.

Not that it matters much. But against this line up you can remove 55, K9s, A9o and KJo from my range and add T9s and A7s.
