The whole point of religion is so that governments can control people's behavior. How many politicians describe themselves as athiests?

[/ QUOTE ]

only a politican would have such a viewpoint -

I'm not a politician. Read some history. Church has always been a political tool.

Big business and the rich reaped major victories with Bush over the last 8 years and they will pull out all the stops to keep the train on the tracks.

Sure, and many of those same big businesses are now backing Democrats instead (Fortune's cover story a few issues back was about this).

Link.

Well, I don't trust Prison Planet and I can't see the video news report, but I see nothing wrong with people encouraging others to not shoot each other during a period of unrest.

There are plenty of big businesses who will reap tens of billions from democratic social spending programs.

[/ QUOTE ]

You're joking right? Every president, since WWII, has lowered the total national debt as a percentage of GDP, except:
Reagan & the two cowboys. They've spent more (primarily on weapons of mass destruction, wars, and the new 600 million dollar embassy in Iraq)and given more tax breaks to corps and the rich than any other prez.

The clergy in question are there to
a) persuade people to turn in their guns
b) let their children be taken away/families broken up
c) go peaceably to "camps"
during a period of emergency.

if you are anti-gun I guess you might support a), but I fail to see how you can support b or c. I mean, at the very least I would expect you to want your family to remain together to go the the "camps".

btw, nielso put up the link to the nightly news broadcast on utube.

That's right Iron,

Just get on the train and be calm about it. Hand over your guns, your gold, your children, and everything will be fine.

The government paying the religious leaders to tell them what to preach is perfectly fine as well. I mean, it's just 20.000 of them, who are getting informed and trained to peacefully follow the orders of the police turned law (martial law). Whatever you do, do not resist, because that's not something we would want.

You're a great patriot, sir.
