Re: Richard Feynman Vs. The Vatican
[ QUOTE ]
Because one needs to have sex and lots of money to make scientific conclusions? [/ QUOTE ] It may be helpful to some, hurtful to others, or indifferent again to some others. But you seem to always be askew the point, completely open-ended inquiry, or indeed science research, is not something that monasticism engaged much in or even promoted. [ QUOTE ] A passive atheist I can understand. They have not been convinced. [/ QUOTE ] Then you understand me. [ QUOTE ] But a militant atheist is the most pathetic contradiction imaginable. Long live death! [/ QUOTE ] I figured you knew about Mr. McCabe. But death is a constant so saying "Long live death" is a bit of a misnomer. We are at loggerheads as usual but I did enjoy the exchange. I am not in the business of conversions as I have stated more than once or twice. By the way, read any good books lately? Some Spinoza perhaps? -Zeno, The Antipope |

Re: Richard Feynman Vs. The Vatican
Monasticism and science? Look up Albertus Magnus and Roger Bacon.
There will be a debate between Christopher Hitchens and my rotund buddy, Dr. David Allen White, sometime in the near future on the Hugh Hewitt radio show. This will be required listening. http://www.townhall.com/talkradio/Sh...?RadioShowID=5 Anything Dr. White has to say is interesting, and he is the best layman proponent of traditional Catholicism today. |
