what poker were they playing? they were doing no limit hold 'em? why would the filmmakers decide the rules to be if you have someone out chipped you just win.

its gaypoker. thats what it is. do not see this movie. jammie foxx gets like a 4 of a kind vs. top boat and stuff like that. its actually semi comedic.

This movie def. wasn't THAT bad.

It's bad to be sure, but its not painful.

It's the type of movie you would stop on when channel surfing past TNT or something and end up watching it.

Then thinking, well that stunk. But not like shut it off in the middle or painful bad.

I think I remember them holding all five cards in their hands when they were staring each other down, but I'm not 100% sure of this.. If it was 5-card stud, there would have to be 1 hole card and the 4 other cards faces up, so they could be seen by the other. You sure you're not thinking about the game in the Cincinnati Kid? To all, yes, this movie is THAT bad. The awful twists, the horrible poker, Sly looking 75 years old.
