Slight hijack but was this at Foxwoods? Even the people who pay attention in that game (a small minority) call down too much with hands exactly like AJ on boards like this. This doesn't mean they SHOULD be doing it but that's not the point. This opinion is based mostly on the weekend games; during the week may be different.

i dont know why were calling an 8x bb raise from a solid player. yes, we have position, but its of no use if were going to give up on a flop that hits us.
i muck this preflop. given your preflop call, i float the flop and fold the turn. |

ghazban, i fully agree with you. I do this kind of move very rarely against specific opponents. For the most part I just wait for a hand and get payed.
