Quick Question - # of Main Event entries

Are the WSOP event holders making some sort of prediction as to how many people are going to be playing in the main event? Or is there a growing list as we speak that can be found some where? I know they arent capping it. Any1 know? Thx

The other day in the hallway I saw a computer screen flash the number of entrants and the prize pool for the Main Event. I don't know how often it is updated or if it is not an offical count at all.

I don't remember. But it was there and rpobably still is there.

The monitor said it was something like 2,500 as of 6/30.
