Default 50NL: AA Turn Line Scary Board

Villain is 42/13 over 50ish hands.

I made a larger than normal raise PF because I knew he wouldn't fold. Not the greatest flop. I haven't seen him lead min before. I saw him lead close to pot-size with TP no kicker.

Bet the turn or try and control the pot?

turn is a safe card, we've gotta think we're ahead, so you def want to bet it

you have 40 left behind, so if you bet around 20 on the turn, you're not giving him odds to draw and he'll call the last 20 a decent amount on the river as well bc the pot is going to be large

Raise the flop to at least $10, bet the turn $20ish. On wet boards like this you have to think your ahead the majority of time especially how villain has played it.

You seem to have a good read on him...what do you think he would call with preflop? 77+, AJ+, KQ, 54s-JTs? Anything?

On the flop, he might call this bet with 88+, 54s-JTs, AJs+, KQs, and 54s-JTs when they're spades.

The only things you beat on the turn are KK, QQ, JJ, and you lose to everything else. I think you are way behind and should try to get to showdown cheaply.

But everyone else disagrees, so I'm probably wrong. What range of hands do people think he'd call a pot sized flop bet with?

This hand really reveals my biggest leak right now. I'm not betting the turn or river often enough.

I actually checked the turn. River was a 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Villain bet $10.5, I called, he showed K/To. Had I bet turn, I could have shoved river and I'm sure villain would have paid off. I need to value bet more often on the turn and river.
