Stars 109fo: Flop strong draw multiway, checked to with awkward stacks
No particular notes on anyone except the pre-flop raiser, who I find to be on the weaktight side and exploitable.
Notice stack sizes. For a freezeout this table is playing pretty deep. The plan was that I flopped gin and I was going to raise the flop versus any betting action (unless bet and raised in front at which point I'd have to re-eval), but then everyone checked to me. Thoughts? Stacks seem very weird. I don't want to bet on account of my not knowing what to do facing a shove (probably getting barely incorrect odds). This feels like a check, but I'm not certain. Re: Stars 109fo: Flop strong draw multiway, checked to with awkward st
Im pretty sure you have odds to call anybodys shove if you bet like 20-24k here, though if it was the SB it might slightly incorrect. So without running any numbers, im betting near pot and calling everybodys shoves.

Re: Stars 109fo: Flop strong draw multiway, checked to with awkward st
I would have folded preflop, im a nit and i would want MP1 to be deeper before calling here. Also, us calling creates a nice spot for button-BB to shove since nowadays everyone knows what a squeezeplay is.
Having seen that flop, i would bet ~18k and get it in if someone checkraises. |

Re: Stars 109fo: Flop strong draw multiway, checked to with awkward stacks
If you bet, it's because you're calling/shoving, unless all hell breaks loose and even then you'll be priced in. As no one is going to check-raise fold and you have position and because this flop should have hit someone, I'd probably just check behind unless I think there is a decent chance that someone is planning to check-call. But this looks like everyone is either going to fold to a bet (sweet, but there's no hurry) or, more likely, you're going to get shoved.

Re: Stars 109fo: Flop strong draw multiway, checked to with awkward stacks
what about check behind and shove a blank turn when someone bets?
Eh. Doesn't really rep anything. Just throwing it out there. I like bet pot get it in best. |

Re: Stars 109fo: Flop strong draw multiway, checked to with awkward stacks
btw if you bet 15k and sb shoves you have to call 75 to win 200 total = ~37%. Tonly thing you're worse than 40% against is a set or better fd. It's dumb to bet more just to price yourself in, but that's not what'll happen here - any reasonable bet commits you, and since sometimes they'll all fold, and sometimes they'll just call, giving you lots of good turn/river scenarios, bet/get it in seems best.

Yeah, as I said, if we bet, we call. But bet-sizing still matters in terms of the options we give them and whether we choose to let them think they have FE or not.

dude you flopped the nuts and your equity is going to be awesome against everyone, also, you take this pot down quite a bit by betting here.
