Default Level of stud play online?

hi,
i am am holdem player looking to change games for a bit and to learn some new forms of poker. I already have a decent grounding of stud theory, read a few books, played a few live games. I am not played online yet, and was wondering what the level of play is like. I have been told non holdem games are generally softer online with less experienced players. Has anyone found this to be the case? If im playing 1/2 NLH, what limits should I be started at stud?
Thanks

I haven't ventured into Stud or Stud/8 online yet. I play limit and pot limit Omaha/8 online and I do think that the level of play transcends each game online. What I mean by that is, at the micro and low limits, the players are typically weak and if you play a tight aggressive style you can slowly build your bankroll playing Stud (or Stud/8, Omaha/8).

It's pretty bad. I played stud/8 last night for the very first time. About 40 hands in I got dealt rolled up sixes and capped 3rd street, re-raised 2 villains on 4th street, and bet out on 5th, 6th, and 7th (boated up on 7th). One villain was chasing a 3rd nut flush with 5 spades already visible in the other opponents' hands. The other villain chased a low and missed. I was only playing .10/.25 (cent) but I think even at .25/.50 and 1/2 the players are only worried about what's in their hand.
