Re: LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring (GAME THREAD)
[ QUOTE ]
Sam isn't a ring-bearer until Frodo is dead, so while Aragorn CAN protect him 100% right now, Sam isn't getting peeks yet. So Sam coming out is worthless right now. [/ QUOTE ] no, but here's what happens sam/frodo are masons. they devise a code so sam knows the previous nights peek during the day. how they determine that is up to them, but its pretty simple. each day sam says "frodo peeked xxx as yyy". perhaps only once everyone has posted or something to avoid narrowing down the potential frodo's. then aragorn protects sam at night since he can constantly feed us info. |

Re: LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring (GAME THREAD)
plan: sam comes out tomorrow with peek and gets angel protection each night
plus: we get a peek every day minus: when the wolves hit frodo, they get sam shortly thereafter, as he then is ringbearer so only has 50% protection from angel...and if wolves already hit angel, then sam dies immediately if we don't do it, then they have to find frodo and then sam...which will take longer...but we won't get as good of info earlier either, which hurts village... and then there is the fact that once frodo dies, sam will need to come out shortly thereafter pretty strongly anyway to ensure the peeks don't go to waste...so he likely won't live long anyway... also, we eliminate the 1/19 or 1/20 shot that wolves hit and kill sam tonite...and so on...and so on... |

[ QUOTE ] masons only talk at night, so tomorrow sam wouldn't have frodo's n1 peek. but they can get around that if they use their head [/ QUOTE ] Speaking from experience, dmk? [/ QUOTE ] and i'm not referring to hidden ubb-tags either |

Re: LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring (GAME THREAD)

Re: LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring (GAME THREAD)
i think sam coming straight out is the best play
wolves still have to find frodo and all. and he won't be acting that differently than any other villager since he doesn't have to worry about leaving hints or not voting for villagers that he's cleared, etc |

Re: LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring (GAME THREAD)
so it depends on when mod pms frodo the peek...if frodo is on and there is time, it'll work...but if not, it won't
so yeah, make up a code tonite frodo/sam, that way you'll have a backup if u don't get the peek in time |

Re: LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring (GAME THREAD)
also, wolves will be looking for gandalf as well, so they'll look for people acting like seer, which frodo won't...
however, also look for wolves to do more 'setup kills' this game since they know it also could hit frodo...so we can't use that info as much as usual when we know they have to find a seer... |

*** MODERATOR NOTE ***
Once you get a morning PM, you should consider it daytime, and no more chatting with masons/wolfbuddies. *** MODERATOR NOTE *** |
