Re: A9o on the button with limper
i limp a lot because i'm gonna be able to take an 800 chip pot iwth a 500 chip bet an awful lot on the flop, and every so often i'll even flop the best hand. |

Re: A9o on the button with limper
I once shoved 13 hands in a row on the FT bubble of a live MTT.
I was called 2 times. I had someone show me that they folded AK with 3xbb left. I showed them J4o. That was only 5 hands into pushing non-stop. True story. |

Re: A9o on the button with limper
Anyway, I limped behind (good position but bad hand to do it with). The flop comes A64 with a 2-flush, giving me a bakdoor nut flush draw. SB leads out for 400 and limper calls. What do I do?

Re: A9o on the button with limper
If your not shoving here, then why are you calling?

I would much rather push at a bunch of limpers with worse cards than push here with A9. The push is pretty marginal. I want to push a lot, so I would avoid situations like this. I am concerned both that I will get called and that people will limp big hands if the push is often coming. I don't see how people won't notice if you keep overbet pushing and there is no way they credit you for a big hand after that. |

Re: A9o on the button with limper
Calling seems like the worst option available.

$300 live MTT. Original stacks 6K. I have 3400. Blinds 100/200. New to table. Mid position limper. I have A9o on the button. What do I do? [/ QUOTE ] Smirk. Minraise. C-bet. Profit. Maybe make it a little more than a minraise. Anyway, raise so you're heads up and can c-bet the flop without committing yourself. As played, go broke. |

I raise the flop to 1500, SB pushes, I call, and SB shows AKo (?!), which holds up. I was thinking maybe I misplayed the flop or got in trouble limping A9o, but I don't know now. |

Re: A9o on the button with limper
i just open fold, don't like shoving that many bb's w/ no antes, and certainly hate limping
