I'd rather call and play poker w/ mid pairs rather than use them to "combat light 3bets" especially in pos.

we're oop though...

and noam sorry that wasn't in response to you, just came right after you posted.

pdoran, like i said if i didn't know he was 3betting really light i would fold. the "it's 100nl" arguement is just saying the regs are nittier, so i guess that just means there are fewer players i'd do this vs.

I guess I didn't even notice this was nl100. I was just speaking more theoretically about the merits of four-betting mid pairs.

thats pretty bad, all you can do with them postflop in rr pots is snap off bluffs. So unless i got a special read that villain is mega spewwy i fold them. I like hands like 78s better, because you can semibluff better with them. As with 77 ur either way ahead or behind.

the only time you're way ahead with 77 is when you hit your set. 4-betting is fine/good depending on opponent obv, but the size of the 4b posted really sucks no matter who villain is. Additionaly, 4betting with 77 is much greater than 78s when hero has tendancy to be spewy postflop and overestimate FE...which I think many SSNLers are guilty of.

if he squeezes alot preflop AND is aggro postflop and i have pos i call to check shove any draw... untill he catches on. Then you can check shove a ton of top pairs.
