Huh. I admit, I'm kind of surprised that Maylasia Airlines appears to be the only flying a direct SA-BA route.

i live in miami and the weather here is amazing this time of year. we jus finished our rainy season, and the weather has been in the 70's F. in the day, and 50's F. at night.

Another idea: Travel to Chicago rent a Harley or convertible (to each his own) and travel Route 66 to L.A. Stop in Kingman and I'll buy you a beer.

We get a LOT of travelers from over the pond that do this. Almost 2-3 groups every week.

40hrs...on foot?

http://www.capetowntravel.com/travel/flights.asp seems to suggest BsAs to Cape Town directly.

Highly recommed it, not far off the perfect time of year to visit either.
