Default DO NOT WANT C/R/3bet AI vs. LAG. $10.5 tournament

Ok, I was just totally lost on the flop.

Over 30 hands Villain is raising his SB exactly 1/3 of the time.

Villain is an aggro monkey on the flop:
6.0 AF. CBET %100 (2 out of 2). Fold %10, Call %10, bet %50, raise %10

Everest converters are broke so by hand:

$10.5 NL donkament

Villain 1025
TheLamprey 975

Holecards:
9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Preflop
Villain posts SB 5, TheLamprey posts BB 10. Villain raises 20 to 30, TheLamprey calls 20 .

Flop 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] POT: 60

TheLamprey checks, Villain bets 60 , TheLamprey raises 180 (thats a potsized checkraise) Villain reraises 540 (and a potsized 3bet). Hero...??

I mean, WTF? Does he always have it, or do you just have to put your foot down in this case and gamble on second pair?

fold preflop fold flop. Simple imo.

All you beat is a bluff and a draw (and most likely by not much). What do you expect him to show up with here?

edit: and the c/r is debatable imo. Lead the flop or c/c.

Fold PF/fold flop.

I'm surprised you can be that tight and still win HU at the $10.50.
OK, well I'll take ur advice and be more of a nit.
Thx

i disagree. preflop is an ez call (lol minraise). alot of people seem to be way too nitty oop. position is important, especially deep, but for a minraise definitely call with such a playable hand.

on the flop i think your pot sized reraise was a mistake. you might aswell have done it with air, since villain is only not folding if they want to bluff or have a better hand. minraise or call, depending on on metagame.

as it is, fold to his reraise, he may be aggro, but you havent comitted too many chips, and you are only beating a bluff.

hmmm interesting.

tmcdmck - his pf raise was 3xBB

I would like some reads on villain PF, turn & river behavior. Since you have a decent little hand with SD value but that can't stand too much heat, it's not a good idea to fight for it on the flop, being villain an "aggro monkey on the flop". Obv if he's aggro monkey on all streets things are different...

god damn i suck at reading HHs correctly today. for that sort of raise i would probably call anyway, but fold preflop suddenly becomes the sensible option.

Normally I agree. I don't think calling pre is that big a problem though. It's very likely villain makes mistakes post, and if we're confident in our ability postflop, we could make up the tiny loss from calling with 97o here.

Flop was played badly imo. Here I agree with hra completely. Bet out or c/c. Personally, I'd c/c, and lead most turns.

fold pre
as played in cold calling the flop and evaluating what to do on the river.

callin raises with 97o OOP to often is a leak IMO

dont call with 97o OOP if you are playing the 11s. Period.

You're 100BB deep, preflop call is probably ok, but a fold could be ok too.
