honestly sometimes i wonder if im just insane or if like every person in santa barbara is out to piss me off.

first off 2 of my roommates this year are super religious and probably in a cult. ive never been to church and wouldnt really consider myself "religious" although there are a lot of religious things i somewhat believe in so whatever. i could care less about that, what drives me nuts is that they have these bible meetings or some [censored] like every night where our [censored] apartment is packed with weirdos.

second one of their friends is like constantly sleeping on our couch and i sorta feel like a dick when i go out there at like 1-5am to study for midterms or talk on the phone but when youre sleeping on someones couch for free you can go [censored] yourself if you dont like it imo.

third im pretty sure they are retarded bc the toilet was plugged when i got home last night so apparently the sane thing to do was drop a deuce in it? are you [censored] kidding me? retarded roommates last year did the same thing and i went out and had to buy a plunger bc they just didnt do anything. i forgot to bring said plunger this year, i am not buying another one so basically we have 1 bathroom now instead of 2 unless someone else is going to fix their own [censored] up.

4th i just wanted to walk into the kitchen to get a bottle of water and a granola bar and the path is blocked by a whole [censored] congregation and they are watching what is undoubtedly an incredibly boring movie about jesus

every time i think i cant find people that drive me up the wall worse than people in the poker world i am proven wrong. as much as i am not looking forward to being at home for thanksgiving in a few days i suppose it is better than santa barbara or even commerce at the moment since i have really no desire to play poker.

i hate to make what is basically a straight up blog post with nothing poker related but i am really agitated by these people right now and since they basically have me trapped in my room i had to come to the internet to complain about it.

i wonder how late chilis is open on sundays, i suddenly have a very strong desire to go there and get really drunk really quick. also i need to eat again at some point today as a subway sandwich like 10 hours ago isnt going to cut it. theres no way im eating another pizza because i poisoned myself with one last night and im too lazy to drive to outback and i dont eat drivethru fastfood unless someone pays me to do it.

I wonder what they think of your "gambling"

Ugh ugh ugh ugh. I shouldn't have even looked at my graph. 140-hour breakeven stretch:

Making 31 cents per hour over 2 months is so gross. Good thing I'm also working full time...

Gotta edit your graphs PJ to reduce tilt.

Actually I stopped editing my graph after 3 weeks because I found it difficult to add onto my masterpiece after drawing one sun, 3 moons, Jupiter, a small village in a valley where men reside and herd sheep, and the sword Excalibur.

not counting $14k you lent to fish doesnt mean it's not profit.

Playing is so much more fun than working. Even if I did end up down 30BBs and Villain up 45. Villain was playing a scorching 90/32 over 340 hands.

Sounds like the makings of a challenge. You put up the money, I put up the video. Maybe the mid stakes players pitch in to make this worth my time.

i'm pretty sure we can pool up like $30-40 at the very least, interested?

Re-visited the 20 game Sunday after playing 9-18 for a while.

The people who were making the game good have left, and now it pretty much sucks. Too many aggros who are relatively tight. Solid, aggressive, possible 2+2er at the other end of the table is raising my blind at will and my usual 83o is powerless to resist.

Another probable 2+2er sits to my left. He's a young azn who has been visiting from NJ for the past month. (I'm out of touch, maybe everyone knows who this is.) He's talking a lot and it annoys the older guy two-to-my-right, who is one of the two reasons I'm still at the table. The older guy seems like one of those typical, "I've been playing poker since before you were born... I've forgotten more than you'll ever know about poker" kind of guys. He's too loose, will stab at many unclaimed pots, and loves him some fancy plays.

After one early limper, OG limps in the CO. SB does whatever and I check with 65 in the BB.

Flop is 532 with two spades. I bet, 1 fold, OG raises, I call.

Turn is 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I check/call.

River is a blank. I check, OG bets in rhythm. I think for about two seconds and quietly say "you missed" and call. He turns over Ks8s and I feel like a hero.

The night turns sour from there. YAP and another tight, boring player leave and are replaced by some LAGs so I stay. I proceed to lose three racks over the next hour with a bunch of second-best hands. QQ and JJ run into AA three times, rivered straight loses to rivered flush, etc...

I've obliterated my bankroll and am going to take some time off because I've come to hate poker. I guess seven consecutive sessions where I lose a frickin minimum of 35BB will do that. Eight sessions ago I won 48BB, but c'mon... seven times in a row I get my ass kicked for 2.5 to 5 racks?

So anyway, I'm looking for some advice: After another frustrating session where you tread water for hours then the floor drops out from under you, do you find it best to go back to your car and cry uncontrollably, or sob gently while rocking back and forth?

usually what i will do when i have 7 losing sessions in a row is i will then have 70 more horrible sessions and the bad feeling of the first 7 will seem inconsequential

PJ and Sailboats...nice to meet both of you. Sailboats, I remember playing with you on Thurs night when I first got there, and then you sat to my right on Fri night before I left the game. I tried to make a move on you HU OOP on J34 flop w 76 and you pwnt me on the turn.

There really isn't any comparison between Commerce and any other place I've played, which include all Bay area and Vegas casinos for mid limit hold em. The dealers were great, the floorpersons helpful and friendy. The free food is awesome. Oh, and the games were pretty good too. Where else do you have 5 40-80 games to choose from?

I got to play with both "The Mongoose" and Coco. The Mongoose's wife had to go into her purse about 4 times for rebuys for him. Highlight of the trip was the table mentioned in Private Joker's other post. I had been eyeing a table change for the last hour or so, and when the last fish busted at our otherwise tough table I drew an Ace an immediately chose the next table over because I saw Ratty Wool Cap Guy in Seat 7 from the night before. Well it turns out he's like the 5th best player at this table. Seat 9 is a n incredibly drunk fratboy tool, who is playing about 50% of his hands and all for a raise. He can barely sit up straight. He's saying really mean and inappropriate things to wool cap guy, like "Dude, how old are you? You look really old" and "Are you homeless?" He tells seat 6 that he has "succulent [censored]" and that they're bigger than his girlfriend's. He gets into a half hour argument with seat 7 on who's the better foosball player, and we learn that Seat 7 used to be a professional foosball player(wtf). Fratboy even game us complimentary tickets to the gunshow! This guy was grade A dbag. The whole table is salivating and he goes on to incinerate about 3 racks. I finally busto him on the following hand. 1 limper, Fratboy raises, I call in SB w A3hh. BB calls. Flop is Jh 4x, 5x, checked to fratboy and I decide to make a move at this dry board w my gutterball. My image is squeaky clean at this point and fratboy has folded to my checkraises 3 times already. BB foils my plan and 3 bets, fratboy calls, I call. Turn is Kh, BB bets, fratboy raises and I call. river is the lovely Qh and I insta fire. BB looks really confused, mucks, and I get to 3 bet fratboy. My 18 hour saturday session went from +$2700 to -$600 and ended at +$2k.
