wrong, a playoff system would kill the excitement of the regular season. Is it really worth "getting it right" at the cost of nationwide hysteria?

I don't watch college football, but my boss basically makes my year's salary during college football betting season.

This is so dumb. A 4-team playoff would do little to zero to affect this "nationwide hysteria." The only kind of game that would ever be affected is a season-ending matchup between undefeated teams who play a close game aka OSU-Michigan last year aka games that happen close to never. Whatever is lost (nothing except in absurdly rare cases) from these games would be easily made up with sweet playoff games.

you guys are all so [censored] stupid. This "nationwide hysteria" would just be heightened with the excitement of a playoff system. Just look at march madness.

i concur. whoever thought playoffs was a bad idea is a idiot. I think the more teams in the playoff format the better. CFB doesn't need 6 weeks off anyways. These dolled-up college atheletes should be earning their $100k+ tuition with benefits. If they don't feel comfortable grinding out a playoff game for their almamatter's history, they they deserve a Maurice Clarett-like destiny.

1 more vote for playoffs, plenty of time to. Didnt Ohio State have 35 days off between thier last game and the BSC championship?

@ least 35 days. which means 'Mr. Heisman' ate 70+ buffets before playing the biggest game of his life. Now his stuck on a team with no quarterback, and still has no potential of playing in the next few years. I hope the ribs were good Mr. Smith.
