Not sure what you were looking at, but Antonius didn't even flinch when Laliberte flipped over his hand. He was munchin' on some food the whole hand, then got up to get some more grub as the hand prolonged itself. If Antonius did have a piece of Benyamine, he was still as stoic as he always is when playing poker.

It was pretty sick. I agree with Shane, I think the show is turning into a joke.

a) you have people running boards 4 times in what looks like an attempt to almost totally iron out variance

They should have just run it three times, which would have probably ended up with guy taking down 2/3 of the pot, leaving DB on 400k. This would have been a blow, but still would have been a legitimate hand that could have still been affected by variance.

running it more than once is quite common, and this 500k format is much better then the season's start although that might be the lineups. BTW if David loses 2 out 3, he loses 400k, not 200k. Guy ends up with the amount had they run it 17 times and David happened to hit 8 of his 9 flush outs. Not sure why Guy decided against running it for 168k after David happily agreed, I guess he didn't want to lose money after all this (it was edited down imo)or win realizing he lost out on 400k+. (neither wanted to rabbit hunt)

are you sure david loses 400k?

I thought they split the pot into 3 (1.2mil/3 = 400k).

David wins one slice of this. And he started with 600k, so he's lost 200 all up. Please correct me if I'm a moron.

Yes, if Benyamine loses 2 of 3 runs he would only lose $200K.

"This is what poker has come to.." Doyle

"Pathetic" is all I can say if the story is true. I lost all my respect for DB. If you cant afford to lose, dont play...
Obviously DB wouldnt`ve let GL off the hook and they`d have prolly made fun of this "fish Guy L" after the show...
The only thing that shows is that Guy outclasses DB in life BIG TIMS, cause he knows as well that he wont get this treatment if it`s the other way around...
