Default 50NL JJ limp call pf

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (8 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

MP2 ($70.60)
CO ($47.75)
Button ($47.20)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with J, J.
Hero calls $0.50, [color=#666666]1 fold</font>, MP1 calls $0.50, [color=#666666]2 folds</font>, [color=#CC3333]Button raises to $2.6</font>, [color=#666666]2 folds</font>, Hero calls $2.10, MP1 folds.

Flop: ($6.45) 2, 8, 8 [color=#0000FF](2 players)</font>

Hero checks, Button checks.

River: ($24.45) 7 [color=#0000FF](2 players)</font>

Final Pot: $24.45

What do you take on this river? I rarely limp UTG with JJ before I get chastised. Thinking back I probably should have led the turn right? Or would that be overkill. Obviously, I can't be beating much here but an AK, AQ or bluff chase right?

You are likely way ahead...most opponents would bet the turn on this board with an overpair. Plus you beat TT/99 etc. that will call the river.

lead river. I'd consider c/c, but with a c/r on flop he's not bluffing this river much.

change converter format to twoplustwo

I don't like this. I would raise preflop. As played, the flop check-raise is fine but then lead the turn. C/R flop and turn check looks bluff/draw/weak hand (99-TT). As played, I would check the river.

I'd make it $13 on the flop. If called, check calling all the way looks good.
