Default Another similar weird hand 1020

Villain I am not familiar with but, if you guys remember, I posted a hand yesterday where I made a very thin riv bet and was c/r. Well villain (this hand) posted in that thread that other villain (other hand) can have AJ or KJ. I asked him at the table before this hand if he would call, and he said probably not. Anyways, I called in the other hand and he indeed had KJ. I told villain in this hand about that, so he knows what I'm capable of.

PokerStars Game #12417367885: Hold'em No Limit ($10/$20) - 2007/10/03 - 15:43:31 (ET)

plghh: folds
jaymac111: folds
Humpity: folds

AK87: calls $50
*** FLOP *** [As 9d Js]

I'm not really interested in any other street but river. The hand before river is not standard, but it's fine I think. Now, on river, do we check, bet/fold, bet/call?

He's easily checking Ax here because most of the draws missed and he wants to give you a chance to bluff at it. I think this is a check most of the time.

problem is he can't put you on many hands that could call a c/r, so he's liable to make it a lot if thats his style. I'd probably valuebet whatever amount you think he's least likely to c/r, whether it be $300 or pot. I think pot works well.

I don't know villain, but bet/fold is the worst option against a thinking player.

bet/call

your river betting range is huge, but your c/shove calling range is tiny (with KK being near the bottom)

not to mention that in addition to the FE villain would have on a c/shove, he'd also think that KJ or QQ is the nuts after this action and might mistakenly c/shove the river for value with a worse hand
