There's the list. Looks like there's 120ish free agents.

I would not be surprised if 90+ of those guys took PED's at one point or another. This whole thing is ridiculous.

I''m gonna guess it's like 11 Hispanic fringe players. THey seem to be the only ones who are juicing. Yes, I'm being facetious, but it seems like it's always some Hispanic dude I've barely, or never, heard of.

OffTopic,

Your list is actually pretty good.

I know of two people that have seen Gonzo do steroids, whether or not this would come up in a report...I dunno how all that works.

Jerry Hairston Jr. should be on the list of probables considering he has been rumored a ton.

I am going w/ Eckstein ftw.

Wouldn't surprise me at all. I think a lot of sports fan are really naive about how rampant the use of PED's are in pro sports. People in the media and those who make a living covering pro sports don't want to touch the issue with a 10 ft pole. I think some of the names will surprise a lot of people.

retroactive punishment is beyond absurd. I seriously seriously doubt it will ever happen. And beside being completely unfair and unethical, I doubt that even Selig is stupid enough to go through with it.

[/ QUOTE ]

Oddly enough, many of the media folks who have been calling for Bonds' head in the form of suspension or exile from baseball for the past 4+ years are now suddenly taking a simlar 180-degree stance when it comes to possibly punishing other players if they are proven to be in violation of the MLB Steroid Policy.

The stark hypocrisy is almost frightening, except it was pretty much expected.

IMO, if a player is proven to have violated the MLB steroid policy, he should be punished.

The media has insisted for years that we go through with this witchhunt, and they insist that those in violation be punished....so let's not see them call it off now because it doesn't match their desired results.

They wanted Bonds, they won't get him.

They will get a slew of other folks, though, so let's see if the punishments everyone hoped for in Bonds' case is consistently applied to the others.

Gotta love it.
