how does 24 work? Dont you need either 32 or 16? Do past champions get first round byes? [/ QUOTE ] first round is pool play, 4 pools with 6 contestants each, top 2 in each pool (8 total) advance to the knockout round. i thought 16 spots wouldn't be enough but 32 might be too many.
