Default octopenis(es)

live game with half-sized blinds (small blind = .25 sb; big blind = .5 sb). table is kinda spastic with some LP spots, some TP spots, and some TAG spots. this hand is a kill pot, which has the general effect of tightening everyone up a little preflop.

hero is utg+1 with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and RAISES. unknown loose filipino guy calls, tight old white guy with a shortish stack calls, loose passive black woman calls.

FLOP
4 players, 6 sb (lol)
7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

hero bets, filipino guy raises, old guy is all-in for 1 sb, black woman calls, hero 3bets, call, call.

TURN
3 players, 8 bb
K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

hero bets, filipino guy calls, black woman folds.

RIVER
2 players, 10 bb
5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

hero checks.

How do you know he is loose if he is an unknown?

How do you react if you get raised here?

River check sucks.

Lead river, or check (with the intention of raising) river for value.

Poster's Note: I am filipino, and from my experience with other filipino degens (and I use the term degen and not gamblers for a reason), they will bet this river with any lone pair, a busted draw and a king.

Live play is disgustingly bad and I just take the standard SSHE lines of bet bet bet, until I encounter someone with a brain.

*grunch*

Cool hand. I would probably bet the river, looks like he has a seven.

he's only been around for an orbit, so i don't *really* know anything about him, but he does seem loose so far.

it depends on what black woman does, but i would probably fold if she overcalls, or if she folds i would call and fold the river ui.

I need a little help here on the blinds, cuz I'm confused:

is it that weird game that goes like this:

e.g. $4/$8 w/miniblinds, or whatever it's called
preflop: SB posts $1, BB posts $2, anyone enters the pot must put in $4, and any raise is a $4 increment (8,12,16--cap)?
flop: betting is $4 (small bet)
turn/river: betting is $8 (big bet)

or is it a kill game where everything doubles. If so, who posted the kill blind?

i have played with many filipinos (and representatives of other races) who play that way, but i didn't get that vibe from this guy.

anyway, if villain is betting all those hands, shouldn't i c/c anyway?

that's not the table read i gave you. also, he raised the flop. if he just goes c/c/c then obviously i go b/b/b.

i cannot give you a good answer to either of these questions wtihout tainting replies, so you'll have to wait and/or guess wildly.
