I like betting the turn and c/cing the river a bit better. As played, I think you've got to fold river. Even if he was a tard who though his tptk was good here, he just rivered trips. I took a similar beat yesterday but got out cheap as villain bet $2 into a $17 pot. My line was raise 1 pf, bet 2 flop and 5 on turn, c/c river.

why do you check the turn? why do you bet 4$ on the river?

on this board i bet 3 on the flop, 2/3-3/4 pot on the turn and push the river

TBH I c/c the turn for pot control. I bet $4 on the river as a blocking bet. Then I decided I couldn't fold my kings.

This hand makes me sick for so many reasons. Passive play. Failed to get value. Didn't follow my plan.

I think it may have been a form of FPS. I need it drilled in.

you can't control the pot oop really

in that if the other guy wants the pot to bloat it will(part of why position is so valuable)

Why are you looking for pot control w/ a strong overpair at 25NL against a guy w/ 65BBs? Bet or c/shove the turn allll day.

CRAI on the turn or bet $6, not too important which one you choose just balance them. As played you should either c/c or shove the river. This $4/call a shove idea is terrible.
